Coach Tiffanie Harding started dancing at age 3. She started with tap and ballet, then enrolled in Bountiful School of Ballet for the next 14 years. In high school, she added Drill team (they took 2nd at the State Competition and 1st in Region) and Colorguard (Two-time Individual Colorguard Champion) to her schedule. Tiffanie fell in love with ballroom dancing as a Freshman at BYU. Working three jobs to earn money to stay in school, she took ballroom classes and enjoyed dancing on different teams at BYU. Her senior year, she was her team captain and decided to forego dancing on tour team due to finding the love of her life, Paul Harding. They have been married over 30 years.
This is Coach Harding’s 13th year at Pleasant Grove High School.
Before PGHS, Coach Harding volunteered, coached, and choreographed many routines for anyone who asked. She taught Elementary Ballroom for 16 years at Heritage Elementary, 3 years at Traverse Mountain Elementary, 10 years at Burton Elementary, co-founded Davis County Ballroom (now Premier Ballroom Academy), and was the owner of Ballroom Rocks. Additionally, she choreographed for the Moonlight Serenade at Davis High School for over 10 years. Working with youth of all ages is her passion and she is grateful every day to work with her team members, striving to help them learn the skills necessary to be successful in life, now and in the future.
Alison Wakefield started dancing as a Junior at Pleasant Grove High School. Her Senior year she became the Nation Youth Ballroom Champion and was awarded a scholarship to BYU. She was set up with her new competition partner Todd Wakefield who later became her husband. While dancing on the Tour Team at BYU for 4 years, they also competed individually. They danced 10 dance but focused on Ballroom style more, where they were Amateur Championship finalists. Alison Graduated from BYU in Home and Family Sciences.
Alison has been teaching in the public school system for the last 27 years. She was the teacher and Team director of Timpanogos High School in Orem Utah for 11 years, started programs in several schools including a charter school. Has taught classes at different studios and is currently teaching at Pleasant Grove Jr High School and is the JV director at Pleasant Grove High School. She is also currently the Jr High School Coordinator and helps train teachers in the Jr high schools for Danzinskule, a non-profit organization.
When she gets free time she enjoys biking, yardwork, organizing, crafting, and spending time with those she loves. She has 4 children which have all danced ballroom and now two of them teach ballroom as well. She loves working with the youth and enjoys giving back what she was able to do at this age.
